Background:

Ron Paul was born in Pennsylvania in 1935. He graduated from Duke Medical School and served as a flight surgeon in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate who has served in the military. Dr. Paul also worked as an OB/GYN and has delivered over 4,000 babies. Ron Paul represents the 15th congressional district of Texas as a Republican in the US House of Representatives.
