Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says, "She is a private citizen and is the mother of a daughter on a private trip," "And I think I'd leave it at that." I'm fine with lavish private vacations. So it's not taxpayer funded, right? Oops. Actually, it is. And the bill won't be cheap. First, they're taking Air Force Two, which will cost $146,000 round trip. Plus, the First Lady needs security. There's literally no telling how much that costs, as the Secret Service won't tell.

July 30, 2010: $434,000 Grant to Fund Virtual Sex Game for Hispanic Girls Aged 12-15
The National Institutes of Health, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, awarded  $434,000 to the University of Central Florida to "develop a video game for Hispanic children ages 12 to 15 that will use avatars to simulate sexy situations." One of the game's creators says, "A boy similar in age might approach the person playing the game and ask her to make out or there might be some sexual innuendo." "It's a place to practice where there aren't any social consequences."
July 19, 2010: $500 Million in Aid to Pakistan while only 1.5% of Pakistanis Pay Taxes
Hillary Clinton unveiled a new plan for aid to Pakistan today. Meanwhile, "the American taxpayer is subsidizing the Pakistani rich" (http://video.nytimes.com/video/2010/07/18/world/asia/1247468421481/tax-free-living-in-pakistan.html). Many top politicians in Pakistani have not paid taxes in years.
July 9, 2010: Labor Department Estimates $7.1 Billion in Overpayments to Unemployed.
"The total amount of unemployment benefits paid in 2009 was $76.8 billion." $7.1 Billion of this went to people who were legally ineligible for it. Fraud accounted for $1.55 billion and $2.27 billion came from MISTAKES by state agencies. They say they were understaffed to meet the growing need.
July 2, 2010:  Since 2008, US National Institutes of Health Spends $1.44 Million to Study Male Prostitutes in Vietnam
The NIH has recently awarded almost $1.5 million to research "drug and sexual risk among young male sex workers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam." It includes surveys to determine the settings of the prostitutes and the number in each city, as well as interviews to describe their "unique vulnerabilities" and the impact of behavioral risk.
Arizona Spends $1.25 Million to Save 250 Squirrels
Not just any squirrels, though. The Mount Graham Squirrels were previously thought to be extinct. Then scientists rediscovered them and put them on the endangered species list. Now Arizona is spending $5000 per squirrel on rope bridges and cameras. This is supposed to save 5 SQUIRRELS PER YEAR from being run over.
